IRS Physical Presence Test Rules
- •Must be physically outside the US for 330 full days in a 12-month period
- •A "full day" is midnight-to-midnight - travel days don't count
- •The 12-month period doesn't have to match the calendar year
- •US territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, USVI) count as being in the US
- •The 35 remaining days can be spent anywhere, including the US
